The control module is a special version of the stationary module. Its task is to verify the correct function of the pedestrian module.

The red signal lamp lights up continuously until a pedestrian module is detected in the detection area. When a person module is detected, the red signal lamp goes out and the green signal lamp is activated. The green signal lamp lights up until no more modules are detected in the detection area, which in turn activates the red signal lamp.

In addition, the control module has 2 digital inputs (24 volts) that can be used to extend the functionality of the system by adding different types of sensors and providing the ability to process ON/OFF signals from other devices or machines. Such inputs are used, for example, in the ELOshield One-Way and ELOshield CROSSWALK functions.

The control module can also be used to switch devices, such as gate openers, which are activated when a person module enters the detection area.
