ELOStopTime is a state-of-the-art measuring system for determining the downtime of a machine, the principle of which is to track the movement of the machine using a camera.
The special thing about ELOStopTime is that it does not require a mechanical coupling between the machine being tested and the testing device, as the measurement is carried out without contact.

This is how ELOback works:
The stopping time is one of the fundamental parameters of machine safety. Its knowledge allows the correct selection or verification of the safety measures used in the machine.
Based on the stop time, you can set the location and parameters of security measures such as light curtains, laser scanners, pressure sensitive
Floors, two-hand controls, locked guards, etc.
Measuring the stop time:
- A small reflective marker is attached to a machine part that performs dangerous movements
- While the machine is moving, the system monitors the marking with a video camera
to record the route and determine the point of maximum speed - During the measurement, the video camera observes the marking and generates a stop signal at a predefined point
- After stopping the machine, the path recorded during the measurement is used as a basis for determining the stopping time, the distance traveled and the speed during the entire movement
- The machine's stopping distance is initiated by the ELOStopTime system, which generates a stop signal at a predefined time.
- The stop signal is sent to the contact unit of the measuring system or the mechanical trigger, which forwards the stop signal to the machine control or the safety devices.
Presentation of the results:
The measurement results are displayed on the device via a large touchscreen display, on which the user can view the trajectories of the tested machine movement, the diagrams of the speed distance traveled, the values of the measured stopping times, as well as the curve shapes of the results of the calculation of the safety distance according to the standard.
