ELOback is an automatic reversing warning system to protect against collisions with objects in shunting traffic.

The area behind the vehicle that is difficult to see quickly becomes a danger zone. The ELOback driver assistance system helps effectively to prevent accidents. Ultrasound-controlled sensors automatically detect when objects are in their detection range. The driver is given an opto-acoustic warning via a user-friendly display.

This is how ELOback works:

When driving forward, ELOback is in standby mode and is automatically activated when reverse gear is engaged. To inform the driver of the current detection status, the system has a user-friendly driver display with a situation-dependent traffic light function.

As soon as ELOback detects an obstacle in the long-distance detection area, a visual warning (yellow) is sent to the driver. At the same time, the system can optionally reduce the speed of the forklift when reversing (creeping speed). If the object penetrates into the short-distance detection area, the driver display switches to red and also emits an acoustic warning signal. Due to an acute risk of collision, the forklift can optionally be braked to a standstill.

By holding down the unlock button, the vehicle lock can be released in the event of an ongoing alarm, so that the journey can be continued in an emergency situation.
